I started taking flying lessons in 1995, soloed for 6 hrs, and completed my ratings while getting a degree in Mass Communications. Flew contract corporate work during the post-9/11 industry downturn, hauling canceled checks throughout the Deep South, before getting hired as an EMB-145 Regional Airline pilot in December 2004. Hired as a First Officer on the A320 for Virgin America in April 2010, eventually upgrading to A320 Captain in 2016. Currently, a captain on the 737.

Growing up in Taiwan till the age of 12, I did not know that being a pilot was a possibility for me. I graduated from Rhode Island School of Design studying Apparel Design and worked in the industry for 3 years before finally having the courage to change my career completely by applying and being accepted into EVA Airlines in Taiwan. I had failed out of their cadet program, but it did not stop me from continuing to pursue my newly found passion. I eventually got all my certificates in the LA area and was a CFII and Assistant Chief Pilot at OCFC in KSNA. I was hired later by SkyWest Airlines flying mostly the CRJ200 as a First Officer and eventually a Captain. In March 2021, I was hired by Alaska Airlines and have been flying for them ever since!
